Too much ministry?

Beware of "too much serving" that comes from external pressures to "impress people." It can lead you to forsake Christ by stealing your time from your closest relationships: God, family and people who need you the most. The Lord encouraged us to commune with Him more than anything else. There lies the power of Christianity - a constant communion with God. It is where our wells are filled to its fullest and only from that we can quench the thirsty souls around us. Only then our ministry becomes life for others because it is not ourselves that people see, but the glory of Christ in our souls.

Ignore the devil's voice that cries, "lazy, lazy, lazy!" when you are drinking from the wells of life coming from the presence of God. For you can have more impact with people when filled with God using 2 sentences than 2 thousand words to people with an empty heart!

"And Jesus answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her." - Luke 10:41-42 NKJV

"Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus." - Acts 4:13 (KJV)
